Security

Private by architecture, not by promise.

Most online tools ask you to trust what happens to your files on their servers. edityour never receives them in the first place.

No uploads. Ever.

Files are read into your browser's memory, processed there and handed back as a download. There is no server that receives them.

Runs on your device

Proven open-source engines — pdf.js, pdf-lib, qpdf, MozJPEG, libwebp, libavif, libheif — compiled to WebAssembly and executed locally.

Nothing stored

We keep no copies and no logs of your files. A small list of recent activity (names and sizes only) lives in your own browser, and you can clear it any time.

Real encryption

Protect PDF uses AES-256 — the strongest encryption in the PDF standard — via the qpdf engine, entirely on your device.

Works offline

Once a page has loaded you can disconnect from the internet and keep working. It's the simplest proof that nothing is being sent anywhere.

Verify it yourself

Open your browser's developer tools, switch to the Network tab and process a file. You'll see no request carrying your document.

Future Membership features that genuinely need a server (such as Word ↔ PDF conversion) will be clearly labelled, encrypted in transit and deleted automatically within one hour.
